Take a magic card shop. Add an employee, a couple regulars and an oddball of an owner. Mix in the beautiful new girl who starts to work there, and a dash of her hypersexual friend. Add a crazy girl with nun-chucks, and an evil twin with an eye patch. Stir in adventures involving zombie contingency plans and suspicions of time travel. Now stop mixing it all together. This isn't a cake.

TOP DECKING SEASON 2:
We’re not tapped out yet.
Season Two is finally in the works! Storylines are being crafted, scripts are being written, new roles are being cast. As fans of the show will remember, (SPOILER ALERT) Season One ended with the Joe losing to Kyle at the PTQ, the store burning down, and some suggestive hand-holding between Greg and Becca…
Season Two picks up right where the first one left off. We have some great things planned for the new season, including new MTG adventures, a new store location at MTG Deals, and a new character played by YouTube star Boogie2988.
But we need your help.
Making a web series like Top Decking is surprisingly expensive, and we need help from our fans to make it happen. We decided to release the full breakdown of Season 2’s budget (bottom of the page), because we want you to know exactly where your money will be going. We also tried to come up with rewards that would be exciting to fans of Top Decking, including t-shirts, DVD’s and character tokens.
True to Magic: The Gathering, our tokens are either common, uncommon or rare. For $7, you get three random tokens out of the 12 tokens available. You can donate for as many random sets of three as you want. We will tell you as soon as possible which tokens we've randomly selected for your pack, in case you want to donate for another pack.
We also wanted to make it possible and affordable for fans to interact more with the actors and creators of the show, so we added a reward for $20 to play a game online with one of our producers or actors, and a reward for $100 for those in the LA-area who want to draft with our producers and cast in person.
Joe: Wurmcoil Lifelink
Kyle: Wurmcoil Deathtouch
Per Day expenses:
Make up: $100/day
Total day cost: $375
2 days of shooting per episode = $750 daily costs per episode
In addition, there are on-set and post-production expenses per episode:
Post Sound: $100
On-set and post-production expenses per episode: $150
Total Episode cost: $900
Total Season cost: $10,800
Cost of Crowdfunding rewards: $1,200
TOTAL COST FOR SEASON TWO: $12,000
We are really excited to make Season Two a reality. We’ve been planning it out for a long time, and are ready to make it happen. Even if you can’t afford to make a contribution, just spreading the word on your Facebook or Twitter would be a HUGE help.
